As part of our continued investment in the latest cleaning equipment we will be installing a complete new laundry. Between the 10th and 12th of March we will not be able to offer our same day service for shirts and duvets.
Our same day dry cleaning service will not be affected.

At LORDSWOOD CHATHAM our shop hours are:
Monday 9am to 6pm Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday 9am to 5pm Friday 9am to 6pm Saturday 9am to 5pm we are also open Sunday morning 10am to 1pm for collecting and leaving garments . If you find you are unable to visit us within these hours you may find it easier to leave and collect your cleaning from one of our agents.
Lords Cleaners was established in 1969 and we are now in our 40th year of business. Our first aim is quality of work and service with a competative price. We invest in skilled staff and quality equipment, we do not spend money on fancy shop fronts! We have time to talk through with you your cleaning needs of special garments and any stain removal . Skills used in insurance recovery work give us the edge on other dry cleaners in the removal of stains.
Over the years people have claimed that dry cleaning is not environment friendly but that is not really true. When you wash your clothes the water,soap and fabric softener go down the drain and need to be processed and paid for by the tax payer. When we dry clean the chemicals that we use are stilled and re-cycled with the still waste (the dirt that comes out of your clothes ) sent away for further processing and re-cycling. We are proud of our record of only using 8.8g of solvent per kilo of dry cleaning well inside the EU limit of 20g per kilo. We can achieve this low level by constant monitoring and regular servicing of our machines by experienced staff.
Range of Work STANDARD DRY CLEANING All garments cleaned by us are retextured and hand finished as standard. We will normally have your cleaning ready in 4 hours with the option for a faster service at an extra charge .
SHIRT SERVICE 'You wash we press' is our most popular service with customers.
IRONING SERVICE
BEDDING All bedding items are laundered and items that have 'DRY CLEAN ONLY' stated on the care instructions would be rejected for cleaning as this is an un-safe method of cleaning.
SPECIALIST DRY CLEANING With 40 years experience we can clean just about any garment you bring to us.
INSURANCE We do specialist work for insurance companies of garments damaged by smoke or water.
